RecommendedI love staying here! Right of the beach, super laid back. Not a huge fan of the pool area, but that’s not why come to Tybee anyway.
Internet connection was horrible, no tv service becauseof it, room was dirty, back patio flooring was cracked with pavement everywhere. Pool has a vinyl liner that is coming apart and isn't as clean as it should be.
I reserved a room through booking.com at Hotel Tybee for two days the total was $600! I booked an ocean view room with a balcony! When I got there my room was on the bottom floor with a view of the very trashy and loud parking lot! There was a group of people just hanging out partying right outside my balcony smoking weed and everything! I went and asked the clerk if she could change my room and she said she couldn’t! Would rather sleep on the beach. Extremely dirty. Very trashy. Their new “splash bad” have live cameras preying on innocent small children.
There is apparently no noise ordinance inside this hotel. Its 1 a.m. and constant banging, yelling, doors slamming the last two nights. Very unpeaceful ...sounds like I'm in a prison. Doesnt even feel safe
We stayed 3 nights 2 rooms March 2026. Room was dirty and we received no maid service entire time. We had to go to registration building to get our towels each day and even had to bag up our own trash and replace trash bags. Alerting staff of issues did no good. In addition they were filming a movie on beach behind our rooms which led to a lot of extra noise. We paid extra for those ocean front rooms. We reserved an ocean front room on June 14, 2025 for the night of June 19,2025. We paid $200 at the time the reservation was made and our check in time was anytime after 3:00pm. We arrive at the hotel at 4:30pm on June 19, 2025. It took us over 30 minutes to check in because they were selling pool passes to locals. When we was checking in we was told us that they had no idea how long it would be for our room to be ready but they had a room facing the parking lot.
