Staff was very rude. Food was greasy cold and bad. Worst of all the sea was rough and I and my young daughter had to turn back before we got to the ocean trampolines. We waved at the man whose job it was to help and he zipped right on by several times in his powercraft. We could have drowned and he could not be bothered to help when we tried to wave him down. We booked Playa Mia for my daughters second birthday and while she had an amazing day, here is my takeaway- The guys down at the water tricycle rentals were nice. The drinks were tasty but pretty weak...no real drink menu so you just kind of had to know what you want. The bartenders and rest of the staff weren’t very personable. The buffet food was awful. 1.The staff was extremely nice 2. The buffet was horrible. It was outside with birds flying over and on the food 3. There were only 2 wave runners working which lead to extended wait time 4. $8 to rent a towel 5. The inflatable water park was to far out. Exhausted before we reached it
I am still waiting on my refund. It has been almost a month. Our cruise ship ended up not going to Cozumel due to weather and Playa Mia confirmed that they would return our money within 7 days. The cruise was May 26th. I have emailed and they told me there was a delay and they are sorry. I emailed this week and they have not responded. They have almost $500 of my money.
Food was ok, drinks were great, very disappointed they were not offering parasailing as the boat was "broken" and they only had 1 jetski on a 3 hour wait. They wouldn't take down your name for the jetski only said just come back later and check. The inflatable was way to far out for the kids to swim to, hell even for me to swim to and I'm a good swimmer. It is also torn and the kids were falling thru it. We chose this over other places because of the add ons and we didnt get to do any of them. Very disappointed.
Playa Mia was beautiful, the beach was amazing, and the different blues on the water was so beautiful. Too bad for the seaweed, but well. Bathrooms were very clean. The food was not what expected. I wanted real Mexican food, but there was not flavor at all. The ride on the bus was great and we had fun with the driver Mariano. We joked with him. My son still calling his name... Recently did the Segway-Mayan Tour. Would have preferred more Mayan information and ruin exploration. This tour was basically a tour through the rain forest with tree and plant life identification.
