My in laws are living in the Independent apartments. They get lunch every day and have a full kitchen. We try to stop by for dinner once a month and stock up their fridge. They love hosting us and love when the grand kids come along. They are on the pond so we are really looking forward to sitting outside and grilling this summer. My mother has been at Addington for a a few months after her stay at rehab. It was a quick move we were not really expecting to make, but the staff made it easy by sending the nurse out the day before her discharge to do an assessment and providing furniture for the room. We have since gotten her own items and decorations and she has been working with PT to gain her strength back. Looking forward to continued success and many more years.
My grandparents have lived here almost two years, nice to see the updates happening in their building (building 5). Nice campus and pretty private. When our family visits we like to take them out back around the two ponds to see the ducks and geese. We had Christmas dinner with them and the food was pretty good. This year they had a tree competition so my grandparents took us over to see the other buildings tree in comparison to theirs...
My father in law lives here and the best part is the location! I work right off the Beltline so its easy for me to bop up and see him on my way home from work, or pick him up to get his groceries. Our family never misses the Holiday Family Dinner and my wife loves decorating his studio per the season. His wife passed about 4 years ago so it's nice to see him out socializing again and attending the Church services on Sundays.
My Aunt moved here a few weeks ago and we have been nothing but impressed with her care. We love the nurse and the fact that the doctor is a female. Other residents have been friendly as well. My aunt does need a diabetic diet, which we were able to get her switched within the first few days of being there.
They were able to move my aunt in quickly from [removed]'s. We were in the process of POA and had to make a quick decision, I appreciate the entire staff having her room fully ready with a bed and dresser. Made the transition easy.
Top notch care in a great location! Easy to stop by and see my grandma. I live off of 28th so its easy to stop by for lunch on Saturdays or take her out to Woodland Mall or our favorite spot Pizza Ranch.
I love visiting my aunt here, the staff has always been very helpful and my aunt really loves the dining menu! They prepare her her own 2 eggs sunny side up with sausage every morning, can you say SPOILED! :-)
My mother in law has been with Whispering for a few years. She started in Independent and we loved her being on a campus with people her own age, activities, and lunch included. She was starting to not really cook for herself as much, and was not heading to Church as often as she was before. We loved seeing her have a sense of community again. She has since moved into Assisted Living and we are happy that she is getting more care now that she really needs it.
