Please stay away from this hotel!!! Not only did they steal my credit card number and charge it a dozen or so times over the course of a few weeks for random amounts, but the hotel itself is TERRIBLE. We stayed all of about 5 minutes before we decided to check out and go somewhere else for the night. The room was extremely dirty and we also got stuck in the elevator. May be editing my review by the time we stay there... But so far, not impressed. I booked a nonrefundable reservation 3+ weeks ago for mid-September. I called and asked when my card would be charged, and I was told it would be charged upon check-in. Today, 19 days before my reservation, my card was charged for $1000+. I was planning on paying this upon arrival as I was told when I called. I called today to see if they could refund/reverse the charge until checkin and was told no, because my reso was nonrefundable. Terrible experience.. From check in to check out !
I stayed for two nights and would not recommend to anyone. The room is noisy. You can hear people coming and going plus outside construction and other traffic noise. The lobby and lobby restroom is filthy. The greeter and other personnel need to attend basic customer service training.
I stayed in The Evelyn for 8 nights, recently. The room was very nice, the bathroom big and confortable and all very clean. The bed was extremely confortable as well. There was a safe and also a refrigerator in the room, which were very convenient. The hotel is under renovation and this caused some inconveniences, as noise and a day without water (from 9 am till 5 pm). if you want to sleep and rest, this is not the hotel !!! maids make noise as if you were in the market !! hit all the doors hard and also all the doors squeak !! Is horrible!! Is the first time that this happen too mee in a hotel !! I do not recommend .
This morning I made my second reservation at the Evelyn.. The first time I had a wonderful experience. Friendly staff and clean hotel with convent location. Well not the same experience today. After booking my reservation on Expedia I called around 6:45am direct to hotel to make sure that the other person on the reservation was listed because she will be checking in before me.
