Very friendly front desk staff. But the Hotel definitely needs some TLC. Small rooms and the beach is a lot like a college spring break party scene.
Peeling paint, uneven floors, room smelled like a combination of mold and cigarettes. Not clean- shower had pubic hair and old shampoo on walls. 2-star motel-level room for over $200. Only plus is location. The photos are very misleading. You can tell how run down it is as soon as you pull into the driveway.
Terrible customer service and disgusting rooms
Our room was broken into with someone using a key card money was taken out of our jeans and my husbands wallet was gone through and the hotel is doing nothing about it at least they could do is maybe comp our room or I don’t know some thing but this isn’t a good way to show your customer service
This place! So disappointed! I stayed here a few years ago and loved it. Came back this week and couldn’t believe it! They’ve discontinued maid service during your visit (yep! You clean your own room and change your own sheets!) and they blame it COVID (I.e., it would be unsanitary to have a person in your room while you’re staying there 🙄), yet they provide NO HAND SOAP! I was disappointed! Poor service and in the room we didnot even received simple things like showers gel or conditioner. It doesn't worth for the price!
Due to covid we were unable to keep our work trip to California and Lake Tahoe in June. We plan to still take the trip later down the road when California opens back up and we are able to visit market and do the work we need to do. Every one of our California destinations gave us a full refund or voucher for our non refundable booking due to the unforeseen pandemic. However THIS property would not work with us in any shape for form. They would not give us a voucher or anything .. I will not stay here when we do visit later ... read more
My major issue is their lack of communication. Received no emailed confirmation so had to sit on hold what seemed like an eternity to have someone finally send me a confirmation to confirm our family had a room to stay in. Upon check out, system was down so they told me they would email me my final bill. 4 days later, 2 emails to the front desk and 25 minutes on hold I still don’t have a final bill or understand some random charges on my credit card. this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. We booked our room over a month and a half in advance. We cane from the Bay Area. Two days prior to our reservation we emailed the retreat to try and request an early check-in- never got a reply back. The day of, and on our way up we called the retreat and no one picked up the phone. We called multiple times and no answer each time.
