RecommendedStayed here for our anniversary. I was not sure how far it was from the French quarters but we loved the fact that there was a rooftop pool. We arrived Friday and requested a free upgrade. They honored our request and we were pleasantly amazed by the room. It was beautiful in an old style way (see pic). We wanted to invite people to stay with us, it was that big. LOVED it. Beautiful and Historic!! The staff we meet was so friendly. The breakfast buffet was small but everything good. The lady that made the eggs was phenomenal. Definitely worth the money. Rooms were beautiful and very nice. And let’s not forget PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!!! Lol the complementary Peanut butter jelly station set up late at night was the BEST snack at 10:30!!! The Bellman, Nobiel was amazing! He explained alot about the property and borrowed us an umbrella as we left to go out on the town. They allowed us to check-in early and that process was pleasant. The rooftop pool was very cool and welcoming. Our room A/C wouldn't go below 72 and there was alot of door slamming noise in the mornings which hindered sleeping. I do recommend this hotel with just a few things that can be improved.
the hotel is beautiful and historic. the staff was the best especially Adam and the doormen. my room looked exactly like this page's photo. it is conveniently located to everything. we walked everywhere. this is not a comfort inn. there are no vending machines or 24 hour coffee or microwaves in the room . my only problem was the pool is not heated as it states on web page. if you want to stay in a beautiful luxury hotel thats clean and has friendly staff this is it.
