Elevators are pretty but ride at your own risk. Bar staff is undermanned
So I'm not one to complain but seems how nobody responded to me all day I guess I will...the room we got was so small that the bed...a king at least...took up the whole room so that the mini fridge in the dresser couldn't even be accessed because the door wouldn't open to the fridge and the fridge couldn't open because the other door wouldn't open...the doors when leaving slam shut so hard I hear every one of them at night when trying to sleep even with the a.c. on. The pool they show in the pictures is anything but luxury t... read more
This hotel did not honor reservations, and they don't try to assist you in finding other accommodations . Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!!
Mediocre service and a long litany of things that didn't work. No telephone, no TV, no trash cans, no ice to be found. Toilet flushes resulted in horrendous noises that would easily raise the dead. Convenient location saves this from a one star review.
The bathroom wasn't clean to begin with. The head board on one of the beds was broken. They moved us to a different room, and after an hour wait on the bellhop we had to carry our own luggage. The lobby is nice though.
Our stay over this weekend was our second visit in two years; to be honest, we were much disappointed this time around. The staff and hospitality were excellent as usual (special mention to Paul your bartender, who really made us feel welcome), but we were dismayed to see all the modern updates recently made to the rooms. Vintage elegance is/was the showpiece of the hotel, if we wanted "modern" there were many, many local hotels to choose from--we instead came back to this establishment for its charm, elegance, and ambience,... read more
We stayed on Christmas night a few years ago and had a wonderful experience but when we tried to recreate that moment this year it was a bit of a disaster. We are local and on Christmas day after we see all the family, my husband and I are all alone because the kids go off with other family. We were exhausted and ready for a drink in our room as soon as we arrived but there were no ice machines. I requested some from downstairs and then hopped in the shower. There was no hot water. I took a cold shower and when I got out the... read more
No handicap access, had to wait on an extremely noisy ramp for every in or out. Late at night the ramp isn't as readily available. The handicap showers are poorly designed with a bar stretching across the back of where I would've sit. I had 4 inches for my bottom and couldn't keep from slipping off. Fire your handicap building folks! I had to sit in my wheelchair to shower. Worst experience in bathroom, made for handicaps, ever! Your sandwiches, dry as they are, don't make up for uncomfortable stay. It also cost $39 a day i... read more
