this is no 4 stars it's old n ragged it the staff had some n bad people the rooms have no water as hot as it is no robes very cheap old looking
I’m only giving a 2 because the Bellboys were awesome and the place is gorgeous. But, the customer service is laughable at best. I have tried numerous times to reach someone in accounting to take care of extra charges that were made to my account mistakenly after I checked out over a month ago. Each time I called I was transferred to an extension with a full VM box which then automatically hung up on me. 17 hour drive, upon arrival we were given a single bed for 3 people after we booked a 2 bed room several months ago. Superb. Hope the floor is comfy.
I went yesterday to take pictures of the Christmas decorations, which in years past were absolutely beautiful. Turns out the new owners don't believe in decorating for Christmas.
I am extremely disappointed that this hotel decided to cancel my prepaid hotel room reservation that was booked and confirmed over two months ago. I wasn't offered any alternative options for lodging.
The hotel overbooked, so the room I originally reserved was given to someone else. We were late checking in due to the detours around flooded areas. I called to let them know and no one said our room was given away. We had to switch rooms the next morning. In the first room, the shower leaked water all over the floor. The second room, the shower wasn't clean and was full of hair. After flushing the toliet, it'd whistle loudly for several seconds. Beautiful hotel with a rich history, BUT...... Let me start by saying the manager of the hotel did try to "fix" things, but I still will not be going back. Upon arrival and check in, the line was so long, I waited over 15 minutes to check in with 2 reception clerks on duty. Being the second person in line, I was probably lucky.
