They can start by elevating customer concerns to management who can at least pretend to care. I attempted to voice my concerns after my recent stay via email, didn't expect to get a response and didn't get any. Chose to wait over a month before posting my opinion here. In April, I had my 4th & final annual visit here and was very disappointed that there doesn't appear to be anyone who cares about making or keeping customers very happy. Ditto most of the previous complaints including photo evidence.
I checked in on 4/14/19. I was warmly greeted by Pepper at the front desk. She was friendly, professional and courteous. I was in Room #326. A cottage room across the street, and 1 block from the front desk and lodges. These are the issues I experienced during my stay from 4/14-4/17/19: Spotty Wi-Fi service. Couldn't make calls out, or receive any on my cell. My phone in my room was not functioning properly. Tried to book 5 nights but only gave 1 night!!! I booked from Someone else in Pacific Grove!
Mixed emotions about our stay. First of all lovely location, this was our second stay in the cottage suite. When we checked in the associate did not tell us about the cheese & wine reception in the evening or the breakfast in the morning. Since we stayed there before we thought we'd call and ask. When calling the front desk the associate was rude and acted like we were bothering her. Our stay here was a gift from a family member and we are very grateful for that. We wish it was a better experience though. We would probably not stay here again. The front desk has less than friendly staff. Very dry personalities. Also, one of their male employees knocked on our door and entered our room this AM without waiting for a response. Knock, enter. The cabins are nice, and for one nigt you should be OK. Nice breakfast where you are served egg, toast or pancakes. But don't expect ANY service from the front desk. They make you feel like you're in the way instead of helping you. A shame, since a bit more welcoming attitude would have helped a lot
Spent 2 wonderfully rainy days in their king room ( 1 king bed ) . A bit tricky to find if you are not familiar with the area . I gotta tell you ... I have a love / hate relationship with this inn. It is definitely quaint ... and spread out ! It appears the owners are buying up properties in the area that come up for sale and remodel to suite . Don't stay here! We booked a room for August 2014. Our room was filthy, the mattress was old & lumpy, the TV was old and did not work, In short our room looked and felt like a storage closet of things waiting to go to the dump. The staff was unresponsive. I could go on & on...we spent one night and instead of enjoying a long weekend, we couldn't get home fast enough.
