It is a nice place, always clean and the staff for the most part are wonderful. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

The staff was very nice. The facility is lovely. The room size was nice and Dad even shared a "double" with a roommate. Some rooms smell like urine. My Dad loved the food as much as he could since it wasn't my mom's cooking. My Dad probably needed a nursing home, at the end. Bed sores got very bad and he would not change positions for long. The care team let him dictate whether or not he moved based on his mood. They sometimes wouldn't change him, if he didn't "feel" wet. I was really impressed with: my elderly aunt was in hospice, but was a huge lover of nature and wildlife. Despite being in hospice and having dementia, staff at Churchland house brought her to a local park the day before she passed, and also on outings for ice cream and other activities that she had not done in years. I had transferred her from a facility out of state where I feel like she was warehouse and it was such a blessing that she was able to go outside and have a private room and such personalized care. Commonwealth Senior Living is a very nice place. Even though my loved one would rather be at home, he has adjusted here.
I've been pleased at the condition of my father who is at Churchland House. It's not the same as someone who is there to just take care of him, but that's the nature of an assisted living facility.
We chose Commonwealth Senior Living at Churchland House because of the overall professionalism and sense of caring and concern. At the time of my mother's admission, the facility and staff were great. Highly recommended community facility for elder care!!
I’m still so impressed by the fact that Commonweslth Senior Living communities routinely bringing even the memory care clients to activities off site in the community - baseball games, ice cream, parks, museums, etc. I also like that most of the care staff have worked there for years and treat the residents like family. Communication between program (admissions, nurse managers, etc. and families could be better though - more frequent and not just related to crises.
We were very pleased with the accommodations, staff, care, cleanliness, meals and cost....very helpful experience at Churchland House. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.
