So disappointed with our stay. Self parking was confusing and we had a hard time finding how to get to the hotel from the parking garage, staff at the front desk were very rude at check in and the beds were very very uncomfortable. You definitely do NOT get what you pay for. The only plus is the location.

The location is incomparable. Right in the heart of Cannery Row and within walking distance of the aquarium. The restaurant named, "C" is the best in town. However the rooms are equivalent to what you might find at a Holiday Inn. Nothing special. Not at all elegant. Clean and adequate.

As a local business woman I was incredibly dissapointed. I ran in for a gift card and was given the run around by 4 different employees, only to leave without one. I was purchasing it for a client who likes the C. The front desk staff disengaged, non plussed by everything and everyone. The C employee tried to be helpful and was polite.

When I booked the ocean view jr suite room I thought I was getting just that, but what they fail to tell you is that your ocean view is right after the very loud court yard so you can't open your SO called balcony that is only 6 inches wide to hear the ocean because all you hear and see are the people in the court yard and forget looking at the ocean in any kind of privacy because all the people in the courtyard are looking up at you wondering why your looking out 😫I was very disappointed and will Never stay there again nex... read more

I would love to give Five stars but due to poor service from the Housekeeping person but excellent service by the Front Desk Crew, I would have to downgrade it to Three stars. Probably, I would have given one or two stars but I really liked the Front Desk Staff, therefore, I will be sticking with the Three Stars. We stayed at the hotel from 01/04 to 01/06/2015. Overall this is a great hotel to stay. It was our first time in Monterey and obviously first time at this hotel. We chose this for a 1 night getaway for our 2nd marriage anniversary. Here is a breakdown of the review: The Good: 1 - Excellent location.
