After booking an ADA accessible room online, I specifically called the hotel to inquire about how ADA friendly the hotel was going to be for my 82 year old mother in-law. I was assured the room was accessible, elevator working and complimentary breakfast was in an area my MIL could get too. We have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last two years and though it is a beautiful quaint property with lots of potential, it lacks cleanliness. Our first time staying at this property was in the midst of covid so we thought maybe that was the reason why the property was not clean, quite dingy and just unkept. Beware that the staff is unprofessional and untruthful. Unforeseen Covid breakthrough infection made us have to cancel our trip last minute. I called the hotel to explain the situation and the staff member assured me that I could cancel my one night stay with no cancellation fees. I was charged the full nights stay regardless. We reserved 2 rooms and none of them were ready by 4 pm. 2 hours prior to our arrival at 2 pm, we called the hotel to ask them if we could have both the rooms next to each other. Upon arrival at 4 pm we were told that it would take only 15 mins for our rooms to get ready but it took over 1 hour to get our 1st room at 5:15 pm. The room was cute/ quaint. Can’t beat the proximity to the wharf and even the Golden State Theatre 👍🏼 Walls are a bit thin. And especially when you have neighbors who don’t give a sh$$t🤨 especially the people above us who sounded like a herd of elephants 😡 Loved the fireplace and double showers! It was all in all a pleasant stay👍🏼
Very attractive,nice room with a fireplace. Elevators are old and slow. Staff performance was uneven. Some were awesome and some were downright clueless.
ZERO stars for customer service, but room was nice If you can stay ANYWHERE ELSE, do it. The fact that you have to interact with the staff at this hotel is reason enough to sleep in your car if you have to. The Hotel Pacific cancelled my reservation, charged me for one night, released my room for a second night and did this all without speaking to me first. We used to stay here 3 to 5 times per year visiting the wife's family for over a decade until apparently there was a change in ownership where we stopped staying here due to the dramatic decrease and hospitality approximately 2 plus years ago!
