I am not happy at all. The facility is beautiful as is the room. Quite a few of the caregivers seem to have a chip on their shoulders. You might want to do some research before choosing this facility. I regret choosing this facility for my loved one.

They are understaffed in the memory care unit. They also said they take aggressive people, but really I did not feel the staff was trained for this. I spoke with the manager of the facility and she agreed They needed more training and I believe she was in the process of setting training up before my dad left there. The workers are very nice and so is the reat of the staff, but there is a high turnover. We made out ok with having my dad there, but there are definitely things to improve on.
I was initially excited about having my dad stay with this facility. The salesman ensured me that the staff were well-trained to handle difficult patients with dementia, as I made clear my concerns about their ability to handle his behaviors. This place was NOT as they promised. The place messed up my dads medicine. Luckily he and I were able to tell them. If my dad had not been aware enough they would have missed his medications. The food was promised to be great. It was horrible. They said he could choose what he wanted for each meal. Not true! Everyone got the same thing. And it took forever and was cold. There wasn’t anything we didn’t really like at Commonwealth. But they didn’t really get back to me after our tour, so I didn't spend a lot of time looking into them. The sales rep at a different community was amazing and made things really easy, so that other community is where we ended up.
