Comment on quality of care. We were still in the first week transition period, not visiting so mom could adjust when another patient had an altercation with mom, knocking her on the ground. An aide called to tell me about the incident. I asked to speak to mom and her speech was very slurred. It was then that I asked if mom had been given a drug. The aide stated yes, per the facility's policy, all parties involved are to be administered a sedative, regardless of who initiated the aggressive behavior. Mom got out of bed that n... read more

My mom was admitted on Monday. We were advised to give her a week or so to acclimate to her new environment. On Friday, 4 days later, we were notified that she was pushed by another patient, fell and hit her head. We were not denied visitation but in so many words were told that coming there may cause more issues. Mom was at the nurses station and they did put her on the phone. She seemed in good spirits but was slurring some. When I asked if they had given her meds, the aid said it was protocol to give BOTH patients involve... read more

Kind of chaotic, staff was not really caring and helpful with pricing. I sent an email and they could not give me an amount back in response and that seemed weird to me.
There was an extreme lack of communication from the nurses and aides who were actually assisting my loved one. The administrative folks were very responsive. But as far as getting blood pressure readings, making sure medications were being administered, that bed linens were clean, and that my loved one had basic supplies, there was no communication from the people who were taking care of her. Which I didn't like at all. This very well could have been because of Covid. But because of Covid, I think communication should have b... read more

My ratings are based during the pandemic and what my loved one has told me. The communication skills are horrible. I have to call them for everything. I didn't get any email about the visitation options to see my loved one, after opening up.
In my opinion, this facility is totally understaffed. My mother (resident) is a fall risk and has been left on the toilet for 30+ minutes because staff is spread so thin. The good and efficient CNAS want to do better but can only do so much. Covid has presented its own problems as residents have been confined to their rooms for extended periods of time including eating 3 meals alone day after day. My mother is mentally alert and sees these deficiencies too.
Do NOT place your loved one at this facility. My father’s last undocumented fall resulted in him no longer being able to walk, he has trouble speaking, and the staff who should have taken care of him and been attentive to his needs say what you want you to hear to your face and then work to cover up staff inadequacies on every level. My family and I have have filed a complaint with the state. My father was neglected which resulted in his demise, medication withholding which I have records and proof, medications “misplaced”..... read more

After going on a tour at Commonwealth of senior living at Gloucester House and seen first-hand how the residents are treated and how badly management treats the staff it really made me sad the assistant Rcd is very disrespectful, the RCD talks down or their staff, treats them really bad after speaking with a couple staff members residents are not properly cleaned which is leading to alot of infections, I would not recommend anyone to send their family member there [date removed]
