RecommendedGorgeous hotel that has maintained the building's historic features. An outstanding staff all around! Beautiful and clean rooms with breathtaking views of the river and old state Capitol. Located right in the heart of downtown so everything is in walking distance. By far the best hotel in Baton Rouge!! Definitely our new spot to stay in BR!

RecommendedMy daughter's wedding was this past weekend and the bridal party and several guests stayed at the Watermark. Thank you for opening in time for us!!! The Watermark employees could not have been better. They went above and beyond to help us make it a wonderful weekend. Housekeeping, valets, bellmen and front desk personnel were all amazing!!! DO NOT STAY AT THE WATERMARK! The Watermark hotel OVERCHARGED us $1,515.20 on 5/2/2023. We had a $15.20 bar tab and when entering the tip, they "by mistake" charged us an additional charge of $1,515.20. I spoke with the front desk on 5/7/2023 and he immediately recognized their error and assured me that he would send it off to Accounting to issue a refund. They lie about the parking situation they also lie about the room service the menus that they give you apparently have incorrect times on them too many homeless people walking around outside harassing patrons valet does not receive messages when you call down for your car do not stay here it is nothing but a polished turd

Nice location, but a hotel without a pool in the summer is just NO staycation destination for me. We stayed there with a group event but next time it's the Hilton all the way!
