We have yet to stay there BUT have been going there for over forty years, initially for meals when we visited the Hall of Fame, but as time went on it became our day trip destination (we live and hour and a half away). The lunches in the Hawkeye Grill are superb, whether eating inside or out. The wait staff always goes out of their way to accommodate every request. Great staff, accommodating and rooms are great.
Stories the staff has of Hall of Fame players that stay here for induction ceremonies. The hotel is closed to just them. Some weeks a player or two shows up and you can play catch with them...pretty cool.
