We stayed here a year ago in the ocean suites before the renovation and it was so much better before. Although the updates are nice they weren’t needed. The charm was the best part and now it’s updated paint and furniture but $80 extra a night! The description Said our room had a king bed with queen in the separate room, both beds are queens. Blood stains on sheets, had to go get fresh ones and change them ourselves. The door frame/jamb was splintered and re-stapled in place... no security for the locks. The toilet seat was not securely fastened, nearly slid off. Bathroom fan did not work. The interior remodel was nice but this amounted to a Band-Aid on a much bigger problem. Their house keeping does a horrible job. No cleaner touch the two rooms we were in. Their was blood on the floor and urine around the toilet. The whole bathroom smelled. When we called the office, they said they can’t send someone in the room because of COVID that if we cleaned it that they might give us a discount. What! That is gross And unsanitary. Biohazard! they should adjust the prices due to the internet being non existent, which I had a lot of college work to do. the hot tubs are closed and there is no breakfast, not even coffee or muffins. . I paid 150 dollars for a view of the ocean I could have got camping. for free. the lady at the front was not very professional and made me wait even longer although I had a reservation. the rooms are nice, but they aren't ever getting my money again. i am very disappointed.
add fans, better cleaning staff, cut the shrubs around the ocean view spas so you can actually see the Ocean. And get new carpet.
we had ants all over and they wouldnt go and buy terro or anything to get rid of them. our toilet started flooding all over and they wouldnt help with that either. they wouldn't give us any new towels since we had to use them to clean the mess. were lucky we brought our own towels to use. and to make it worse, they said theyd reimburse $25 and instead they took $25. then they went to "fix" it and charged us another $400!! and didnt want to reimburse it for us. so in total, they charged us $850 for a $400 stay. they were supe... read more
cleaner rooms. very run down.
This was my first time staying here. Christina and Shawneree really helped us out with a group needing nights lodging for four couples. There are some rough spots but those fade into the background when you notice all the little things that make this place charming. So many little garden accent areas, work of people who care. This place is deteriorating rapidly...I've reported them to Triple A, sent the motel a list of complaints with NO response returned (stayed there January 1st and 2nd, 2018). I reported to Triple A the lack of response today (3/15/18) ...my 2nd complaint to Triple A. My next step will probably be contacting the Better Business Bureau. Save you $. Stay in Brookings, but do visit Spinner's Restaurant in Gold Beach-they are the BOMB!
