Urban Boutique Hotel – San Diego (Little Italy) I stayed here over Presidents’ Day weekend for a solo trip, and it ended up being a great choice. The location in Little Italy is absolutely fantastic — tons of restaurants, coffee shops, and things to do within walking distance, and it’s very convenient to the airport. The hotel does show a bit of wear and tear, and the floors could use a deeper clean, but overall the room felt clean and comfortable, which mattered most to me. The hotel is outdated and feels more like an old college dorm/motel. You can hear people in nearby rooms and above you, so it isn’t very quiet. My room did not have soap and didn’t have enough towels. There is also no daily housekeeping during the stay. The room was not up to cleanliness especially the floors and grout. I have never been in this area so trusted photos online. For a first time visit I wish I had stayed somewhere else for more money. Like they say you get what you pay for. I really wanted to love this hotel because the location is fantastic. It’s right in the heart of Little Italy and couldn’t be more walkable — restaurants, cafés, and shops are all steps away. I also got lucky with parking since it was the weekend and didn’t have to pay the meter, which was a nice bonus. The woman at check-in was very sweet and welcoming. The hotel was excellent and the service was even better. I have to call out Manny as super friendly and helpful, even when really busy. We forgot something in our room and he was amazing at helping us recover it. Also very friendly at check in and out. Rooms are small but clean and the bed was comfy, shower was hot, and location was excellent for walking. With this stand-out service I'd love to stay here again.

Just an ok hotel. The room is small and not very clean. There was a lot of long hair in the floor. The bathroom/toilet does not have good vent, So when you poop there, you will smell it in the whole room. Strangely the tv doesn’t have the remote or at least we could not see it in the room. So I was not sure how to use the tv in this case. The breakfast was good: a lot of yogurts, super fresh croissants 🥐 and coffee, and cheesy sticks. Nice guys at the register desk.
