This property is amazing, affordable, and the staff is top notch. We were up in Helen for a several day trip and after a little research chose Riverbend for our accommodations. I can confidently say that I am very happy with that decision. The hotel is right on the river, with a small sandy beach, swings, and picnic area, all right there on the water. My stay here was good overall. I liked how close it was to downtown, easy walking distance, and that it was right on the river. There were multiple swings that you could enjoy the scenery and relax, though I do wish they sat a bit higher as most were very low to the ground. The ice maker in the walkway didn't seem to work during our stay, though there was construction going on so I'll chalk it up to coincidence. We stayed for a few days and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, Ms. Shelly greeted us warmly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She was incredibly accommodating throughout our visit and even helped us check in early, which was greatly appreciated. What stood out most was her kindness and attention to detail. Great value for the price & location. Rooms are clean & updated. Bed is a little firm, but it’s fine. There’s a microwave & fridge in room. Hotel offers coffee/muffins/cereals in morning in lobby ( even frozen breakfast sandwiches although I wish there was a gluten free option) The exterior is going through a renovation which is needed-yes it’s dated, but it’s clean and to me that’s what matters. Really nice place to stay for a few days. The room was nice/clean and the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the river being next to the hotel, it was exactly what we wanted to have our dog play around in. Close to the main street in Helen, not a far walk at all. Check in/out was a breeze.
