5/29/26 UPDATE NO WHERE is there stated that they charge for PARKING!! In fact if you check the information of the hotel, it states parking -free- BE AWARE!!! They CHARGE for PARKING!!! I'm lowering my score to 4⭐ Overall. Room is really 4.5 ⭐. Overall is really a 4.5 ⭐. Large room and bathroom with two sinks. Shower 🚿 pressure needs to be better. This stop was our first time at an Inn/motel versus a hotel as a family. We appreciated the family room so accommodate our family and had plenty of space. The beds were comfy, but the shower pressure was not great. Our kids liked the warm outdoor pool for an evening swim after enjoying Monterey. We liked the close proximity to everything, including a grocery store. Google maps lists it as having a free breakfast, but it does not offer anything but snacks in their lobby. Rooms were super clean and comfortable; bathroom was also super big was not expecting it to be that big. Loved that they have a heated pool, we enjoyed that as well. It's also near by the aquarium and beach area and restaurants. Only downside during our stay was that our AC in our bedroom did not work, fan would turn on but room would not cool but did mention this to reception upon checking in. Loved our stay here, worth every penny would stay here again.

A pretty decent lovely motel. The house is clean, with a light bleach smell (actually good to know about its hygiene). A spacious washroom. Parking takes 10 bucks. The location is fine, not walking distance to the wharf or the aquarium, but reasonable for its price. Good thing that there is a plaza across the street with several restaurants. Right outside of the place there is a okay Vietnamese restaurant as well. Highly recommend as a budget choice. Nearly nothing compromised in quality.

We absolutely loved our stay at Inn at 1252 Monterey. It's obvious the property is very well cared for and it looks absolutely adorable at night with all the plants and lights. Whoever their gardener is - they're doing a great job! We'd texted with the hotel on several things and loved how fast and helpful the responses were. The team members were also very welcoming and helpful in-person. We chose this hotel based on weighing the value and good reviews and it didn't disappoint.
