Exceptional lodging in the heart of of Hollywood! I cannot say enough good things about this hotel from the staff to the amenities. Everyone from the valet professionals to the front desk professionals to the housing professionals are consummate professionals! I also enjoyed the restaurants on site and the SEVERAL options for entertainment. I highly recommend and would gladly stay here again. Thanks, Hollywood Roosevelt for going above and beyond and making me feel very welcomed! I appreciate you all so much!
The hotel takes a $150 deposit, but charged our outstanding fees separately (instead of subtracting from the deposit) despite the assurances of front desk staff—still waiting on that refund a week later. Watch out for hidden fees like the $37 'destination fee' added at checkout. No coffee/tea maker in room, one elevator working, needs a good carpet clean and paint job. Overall: average. Save your money and get an Airbnb.
I went with friends to a show at the hotel. Liked the show. The singers were amazing. One woman was a mezzosoprano. The food and drink was good. The hotel doesn't take cash. It adversely impacted the amount we purchased. Also, the restaurant adds a 18% fee on top of the bill that is not the tip. Management is not kind to their staff.
I think this hotel is kind of past its prime. The rooms do not feel luxurious with their old TVs and the loudest air-conditioning system ever been in. The public spaces are really nice thought! Parking FOR PAYING GUESTS is $75/night. I think it’s because the surrounding area is so sketchy that you have to use it. Beware of that before you book. Not to mention resort fees. All my local friends we shocked by that, so know that’s not standard. I say skip this hotel for its cost. Visit the pool if you can and have a bar night... read more
Had a great stay at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel during Halloween week. This hotel is stunning and gives you that old Hollywood vibe property-wide. It has a vintage feel to it that makes it so special and worth a visit. The hotel staff were polite and we had some great interactions with their staff. We ate at many of the restaurants at the hotel including 25 Degrees and Tropicana Cafe and both were excellent, pricey but worth it. The pool area is a vibe (pretty awesome to swim in the same pool that Marilyn Monroe swam in). ... read more
