The Don is such a beautiful, relaxing place to visit. We have been going for years and even had our wedding there is 2023. Although they had damage after the hurricanes last fall, they have done a great job in repairs and making the Don even better. The staff there are great. So professional and friendly. The service of all the staff has been 5 star - from the front desk to the room service team. The Don is clearly one of a kind - a real gem on the west coast of Florida. Beautiful hotel, even though there was construction ongoing, the staff was wonderful. They were super fast with every request, getting extra pillows, towels, etc. The valet was so quick too, we enjoyed the beach and pools. We do wish there was more variety for dining, but they're still renovating some areas. I can't say enough though how every single staff member we ran into was just the sweetest. Lovely people.

The entire experience was pleasant. The four star rating is due to inoperative electrical outlets between the beds, air temperature above our preference., and the toilet running nonstop. The staff and amenities are top-notch. We will probably book another staycation there opting for a different room. The building is very old, but very well maintained and in fairness they navigated two hurricanes 2024 causing damage.

What an incredible day & night. After my daughter's wedding was postponed, our coordinator Jennifer reset everything and it was more incredible that we could have imagined. The sunset views from the Terrace, the beautiful space and historical architecture made this a storybook experience. The service and food were 5 star, and everyone was so invested in us. If you have the opportunity do this!

For an upscale hotel with premium beach front , the best part about the hotel is the view of the beach from the room. The beach isn’t as nice as clearwater or long boat key even though it is nestled in between them both. At check/in I was told that I wouldn’t be allowed to take pictures of my family on property without paying 750$ per hour since my camera “looked professional” and that if I were caught by security they’d ask me to leave.
