Great place to stay. Will, the bar tender, at the pool bar was very accommodating and entertaining. The entire staff did a great job and exceeded our expectations. Turn down service, muffins coffee pods and Dove ice cream bars every day. Very clean. Pool was very nice as well. We would definitely stay here again

The hotel is very beautiful and the rooms are lovely, but unfortunately, smoking is allowed everywhere — including around the pool. The pool itself is quite small, and the fact that guests are allowed to smoke cigarettes and cigars there makes it uncomfortable for non-smokers. It’s disappointing, as it discourages many people (like myself) from enjoying the pool area. We had a fantastic time at the Santa Maria! It's a great, smaller resort, located in a great spot close but not too close to the southernmost point. The staff were fabulous, they really made the place sing! Happy hours with Wilfredo, the all-knowing Matilda, and everyone else who made the place run so seamlessly, were wonderful. The stay was good. But manager was very difficult to deal with during check in and especially check out. Our 3 year old daughter stubbed her toe on a piece of furniture so badly it tore her nail off so we asked for an hour late check out, which was denied. We scrambled around all morning getting to CVS, dealing with our daughter’s injury. The manage and staff called and came by the unit, hovering around to make sure we were leaving. We had a really wonderful stay here. Visited as a family of 4 — my husband and I, my mom and our 3 year old. We could not have stayed at a better place. We booked a bi level garden suite and it was really really nice. Immaculate. Pool was so clean and complimentary snacks all day were really appreciated. What set this apart from anywhere else was the service. Muffins delivered daily to our room, dove chocolate ice cream bars and night time chocolates.
