While rooms are appointed very well... we were very disappointed in numerous things at this hotel. #1....kids..... it was no different than being at an Orlando resort, the number of young kids, kids everywhere was extremely surprising. We are here on vacation, an adult getaway(which Key West is) Kids are in the pool from early am until late pm, signs around the pool clearly state pools close at dusk. I can’t say enough good things about this place—the location, the rooms, the pool, and especially the staff! Everything is absolutely beautiful, and the employees go above and beyond to keep it spotless and welcoming. Matilda deserves a special shoutout—she made our stay unforgettable. It was my birthday, and she surprised me with a card and cupcakes. One day I needed stamps—she had them. Needed bandaids—she had those too! I just returned from a stay at this hotel. This is just an account of what happened over my stay the girl who greeted us when we checked in wasn't really that friendly we checked in at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday the 17th. We were told upon arrival that we owed a $300 resort fee which no one told us about. I booked a bi level suite that is what I reserved but the room was not bi level as stated when we originally booked the room. Excellent service, great amenities, very helpful and hospitable staff. We enjoyed our time. Pool was well maintained! Walking distance to most of the places and they can arrange for rental golf carts or scooters on premises. Only concern was the sofa which was slightly worn out but negotiable.

Santa Maria Suites genuinely exceeded all our expectations. The rooms are well appointed, appear newly renovated, and are spotlessly clean. The staff is SO friendly and accommodating. The location is convenient. Fantastic place to stay with a group.
