We had to stay here for two weeks last minute while traveling. We were able to book quickly and easily. Apon arriving, they upgraded our room to the designers suite because it was available, which gave us extra privacy for our longer stay. They have a gorgeous, historic atmosphere. It was lovely to walk around during the day and relax in the hot-tub or pool in the evenings. Jimmy the general manager is so professional, polite and makes you feel special. He hooked us up with a great room and paid attention to detail. The room was perfect for us. It was large, 2 very clean and comfortable beds and a hot shower. The room was very clean though showing its age. It is history, charming and I would be happy to stay again.

Visiting my son in Santa Maria. I booked 4 days at Santa Maria Inn. The room was simple. This is an old hotel but very unique. It is definitely not a cookies cutter like other hotels. The price is very good per night. They do have a pool, a parking garage, and a nice little garden. They also have a bar. FyI, no breakfast. There is a restaurant down the street name 'The Pantry' great for breakfast. Definitely recommended for an overnight stay.

They put my wife newborn and i in the Historical wing. This wing has phones but no phone service, the halls and bathroom stay cold though the room heats up quickly and the reason the room heats up quickly is because it is super tiny. My wife found uncleaned blood spots in the bathroom but they were a God send...these helped convince them to allow us into the newer wing which should be the only rooms they rent to people. If they put you in the old rooms mention also, as my wife did that not having phone service can be hazardo... read more

We went before Christmas. The hotel was festively decorated for the holiday and played holiday tunes. The dining room had a warm ambiance, the food and service were above average. The rooms were large, clean and stocked. Only downside was the decor...scarcely furnished and incompletely decorated.
