What an incredible experience staying at the Esmeralda! We were thankfully able to check in early and were surprised to find out we were upgraded to a queen suite room. We were greeted with delicious cookies and juice in the lobby (including my favorite drink - hibiscus juice!). Once we got to our room - OH MY GOSH. We were there after Christmas, December 2025. I must say it was a beautiful experience waking up with a mountain view. You could feel the fresh air and the weather was perfect. Other than that, our experience was not very good. In fact, we’re not going back there any time soon. We never understood why the place is sold as a spa and resort. We never got any relaxing vibes. We had a great stay at the Renaissance Esmeralda in Indian Wells. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was nice, and the staff were very kind and welcoming—our waiter Oscar was especially great. The pool area is perfect for families, and the hotel also has ping-pong tables and a sushi restaurant, which we enjoyed. The resort was clean, supplies thoughtfully stocked, strategic landscaping to drown out the nearby traffic completely. Everything was beautiful and inspired relaxation. The towels and shower heads were great, and...they have movable makeup mirrors! I'm a stickler for hotel design that includes not only the men. The shower even has a ledge at a perfect height for shaving legs. I've never stayed somewhere so well designed.

Esmeralda was a great experience. We were originally booked at the Grand Hyatt next door but decided to join friends. We’re a family of four, and we thought we had booked a suite. Once we checked in and saw the room, we knew staying there for the next three days wouldn’t be ideal. We went back down, and Mr. Rios at the front desk was incredibly patient and helped us switch to two connecting rooms. He also clarified that we had booked a *studio* and not a suite—our mistake.
