The room itself was decent enough and the bed was clean, but everything else about the hotel feels old and poorly maintained. The pool bathroom is in rough shape with rusted fixtures, and outdated everything. The hot tub water looked gross and foamed even with the jets off, which doesn’t give much confidence in the water quality/cleanliness. The queen size bed was actually a large full size. It was smaller than most queen mattresses. The room was smaller than expected but clean. The room included a balcony which was nice. The TV was somewhat difficult to navigate. The fitness center was average. The location was good. Some restaurants were nearby including Starbucks, Playa Bowls and a great cookie shop. A restaurant is onsite.

We stayed at the Ramada Inn in South Portland, Maine for a quick 2-day family vacation, and it was absolutely wonderful! Traveling with kids, we were especially excited about the pool—and it did not disappoint. The pool was clean, spacious, and perfect for family fun, and the two hot tubs were a huge bonus for relaxing after a long day. We stopped here traveling up 95 towards Canada towing a boat - the parking lot was nice, but that's about it. The website advertises room service, but when we got there we were told the restaurant was closed for renovations with no on-site alternatives. Since I was towing and didn't want to drop my trailer, I had to shell out for doordash. Also, there were muddy footprints in my bathtub, and there was no caulking under the tub so you could see through to the concrete pad under the hotel. Just off of I-95, which means there's a little bit of a drive to get to the main attraction in this area, i.e. the Fort Williams Park with it's light houses and Atlantic Ocean vistas. However, that minus turns into a plus when considering the room prices compared accomodations closer in. Otherwise, we found the accommodations to be excellent. Clean rooms, sufficient packing, lots of dining choices nearby, etc. I'd stay here again.
