Wonderful stay here. Everything was excellent - the room was very nice, clean and the beds very comfortable. There were two clerks working the evening we checked in and they were both very personable, helpful and professional. They gave us a very good first impression! The breakfast was very nice. Lots of variety and once again, the staff was so friendly and helpful. And the location was excellent. After we got settled we sat outside by the water and enjoyed the view! Dana was fantastic. She had great energy and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She made check-in an enjoyable experience. The tea selection was great and it was nice they kept the juice and water machine running in the evening. The rooms were pretty standard and were clean. The hotel is a nice location on the water and an easy walk across the bridge to bars and restaurants in Houghton. Towels are thin and uncomfortable. I had a great stay at the Ramada except for the group of obnoxious snowmobilers that took over the hotel for the entire week. The front desk woman, Brandi, did all she could to try to keep things pleasant for everyone but they wouldn’t calm down for anything. They were drunk and belligerent every day I was there. No one could use the lobby for anything. I wanted to play cards with my boyfriend but there wasn’t a single table available. Two nights of snow. Very clean room, friendly staff that work very hard to keep the parking area and floors clean and safe. Good breakfast, room coffee is exceptional.
Great location if snowmobiling. Sits right off the trail. ALS right on the river, great views! Breakfast was great.
