We love this hotel! We have stayed here at least once a year for the last three years. It’s clean, has friendly staff and we like the convenience of the downstairs restaurant and Peter B’s. A huge plus that it’s dog friendly as we have a new puppy. I love that we can bring her with us. Great location, easy walking distance to the wharf and Cannery Row. Highly recommend!

Really nice hotel, including its restaurant and bar. So much to enjoy right inside the hotel promenade! Several transportation rentals; little yellow carts, buggy and bikes. From the wonderful hotel location, is a walking path to Fisherman Wharf and Cannery Row. Very close proximity to Del Monte Avenue, which runs perpendicular to and from Hwy 1. I'm planning my return to try out the spa treatments!

Lovely mother's day getaway for my mom. Staff was very kind and friendly to my mom the entire time. Lovely spa and excellent massages. Deep tissue was amazing and very deep pressure. Gym is 24/7 and pool is relaxing. Plaza is lovely and easy to walk downtown and to whale watching. Would come back again.

We had an Incredible experience from check in to check out. Ruven and Joseph did an amazing job in ensuring excellent customer service and made us feel welcomed. The rooms are very clean and up to date with a spectacular view. Look forward to another getaway weekend at Portola Hotel.

You pay for what you get, and what you get here is definitely worth five stars. Beautiful hotel. Beautifully located with a very short walk to shopping and the beach. Gorgeous rooms, I strongly recommend getting one on the courtyard because you get your own little patio. Patio is a great place to eat and relax. Add lots of amenities. Pet friendly is a plus. They have no restriction on breed or size for pets.
