What an incredible experience at Playa Nicuesa. First and foremost the staff are what makes this lodge so special. Followed by the amenities and location. Was able to take several tours offered at the lodge and each one was amazing. The staff is very accommodating and able to help with most requests.

Our family of 4 (all adults) stayed for 3 nights in December. None of us wanted to leave! The rooms were great, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and the food was wonderful. My daughter has a mild food allergy. They were able to easily accommodate it, and always communicated with her about ingredients in the meal options. We hope to make it back again someday!

We had the BEST time at Nicuesa. The food, grounds, staff and wildlife viewing are unparalleled. Just outside our cabin we saw capuchin, squirrel and howler monkeys; an anteater; and a spectacled owl. August was a great time to visit. We were lucky to have minimal rain, and the whales had arrived so we saw whales breaching from the beach. The lodge has their own private trails and plenty of activities. I hope to be back!

My husband and I really loved our stay here. Only being accessible by boat makes it very special. Surrounded by the sounds of the forest with lodges in private settings. There is an abundance of wildlife and the staff are very welcoming providing delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed our excursions arranged by the lodge staff with their guides. We wish we could have stayed longer to further enjoy the surroundings, food and the other experiences on offer.

My partner and I stayed for 10 nights, and we loved it. It's a peaceful and relaxing place. We loved that it was only accessible by boat, and that we were in the middle of a rainforest. The cabin we stayed in was very private and very comfortable. The main lodge had pretty good Wi-Fi and was a nice place to hang out, with a nice bar and dining room upstairs (all open, no doors or windows, you could see birds and monkeys from everywhere in the lodge.) Every morning there was some type of tour to go on with a guide, from dolph... read more
