Great hotel to rest and recharge as it sits right off the beach and Pacific Ocean. My room was clean and the view was AMAZING! The location is good (20 - 30 mins from airport, downtown, zoo and other attractions). The area is walkable with restaurants and a wellness center in a short distance. The people (employees) were great each having a warm, friendly and hospitable demeanor! My expectation was exceeded and mission accomplished as I received everything I wanted! I highly recommend!
Pier South Resort was probably once a very nice hotel, but it’s clearly showing signs of neglect. I’m giving two stars for the great location—right on the beach—and one star for the friendly and helpful staff. The rooftop lounge area is a highlight, offering great views and a relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. Our room had warped floors from water damage, broken blinds, lights that didn’t work, doors that wouldn’t shut properly, and dirty furniture and carpet. Emily and Cassandra were absolutely incredible! We originally booked our room on Expedia and Expedia did not even save the reservation so when we got there, we were a little worried. Emily went to the rescue! She got us an even better room and gave us an amazing deal! This room was larger than my friend’s apartment! My husband and I had such an amazing time staying at this resort!! Between the spa and the massage we got there, the mouth watering food, the gorgeous and comfortable room, the spectacular view of the ocean, and the fact that you are literally on the beach and you don't have to walk a mile or go up and down hundreds of stairs to get to the beach makes this place the ULTIMATE getaway! The experience was amazing.The hotel has a great location. You can see the ocean from your room, or walk from the pool to the beach. Service was great. We enjoyed the sunset from the roof top. Sometimes people can hurt with a review of silly things like bed comfortable or not . The views, the peaceful place are priceless ♡
