I struggled a bit on what rating to give because there was so many great things but also some things they need to work on. The good: The staff is very friendly and accommodating! Pros: Great stay. Super friendly staff. Super cheap. 1 minute walk from the beach. Roof deck with view. Cons: Internet was effectively non existent. Smelled a little off. No desk or spot to put bags. Regardless, would 100% stay again, location can't be beat. Great food and beverage options all around plus bike and surf rentals and everything at your finger tips. End of day, also, can't beat the price.

I had a lovely stay at PB Surf Beachside Inn in San Diego. The location is absolutely wonderful—just a short walk from the Pacific Beach. The staff was available even during late check-in, which was great. The only downsides were carrying luggage up to the first floor and a few electronics needing maintenance. The bathroom could be a bit more spacious, but the prime location, nearby restaurants, and welcoming front desk staff made up for it. I’d gladly return!

Our stay at PB Surf was a truly pleasant stay. While it’s not the most fancy hotel around, the rooms are well kept and equipped with everything you need, including a mini fridge and microwave (seems hard to come by these days). The rooms are not old and run down based on some of the reviews I’ve read (at least mine wasn’t - there was construction happening on site in several of the rooms too). I've been staying here off and on for a few years now. The location is great. You can just park and really not have to drive your entire stay. The staff including the house keeping staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. During my most recent stay I had a little situation come up and all the staff was very accommodating and professional about it. I made an appointment with the manager Jim and was really hoping everything stayed positive. Jim welcomed me to his desk , listened to my issue and was ready, willing and able to... read more
