We're a family-owned and operated independent hotel in San Diego for three generations. This is an older hotel. So, if you want sleek and modern, you have the wrong hotel. BUT the location is awesome, walk safely and quickly into Old Town, just a couple of minutes to the frwy, and all the attractions to visit in San Diego are just a short drive away. The included breakfast is good; cereals hot and cold, yogurt, apples and oranges, coffee, tea, breads and muffins, and more. Rooms are older but clean and comfortable. I like staying at family-owned hotels and this one did not disappoint. I enjoyed everything about it - smooth check-in (I didn't have to wait in line), choice of room, pleasant service, spacious room, and all the amenities you need (ironing board, hairdryer, fridge, alarm clock). They even have a small swimming pool. They are also big on sustainability. What I liked the most was the proximity to the Old Town transit hub.
Friendly staff, spacious rooms, great water pressure, VERY comfortable beds & pillows! Had SUCH great sleep all 4 days!! Quiet. The area is not the best, but the hotel is a nice establishment regardless of the surroundings. We had the kitchenette, came in handy with a stove top, sink and cupboards. Confused as to why the reviews are so glowing for this property. Mediocre at best with outdated amenities and poor air circulation in these old motel rooms (this is not a hotel). It’s clean enough, but this is 100% no frills. This property is close to Old Town and other destinations — but it’s in the middle of an industrial area, and is kinda on an island that requires your own car or rideshare to get anywhere. We went down to Old Town San Diego, and we had a blast! We went down for one night and stayed at the Old Town Inn. It is only a couple of minutes walking from the Train Station and Old Town itself. The Old Town Inn was a great place to stay, and we would definitely stay there again. The rooms were good. The pool area was nice, and the server was excellent! If you are going down for a few nights or just one, the Old Town Inn is a great option.
