Room was quite small and dated but it was what we expected. No problem with that. Was as clean as could be and well maintained. Plenty of hot water in shower which had a wall unit with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Small refrigerator as with most hotels. Staff was very friendly and ready to accommodate if needed. Forget something, they have often forgotten items for free at front desk. Only thing I would improve would be addition of a small microwave. Breakfast was also quite good. This is a true hidden gem! Great location within walking distance to Old Town and adjacent to the transit center for easy access to the trolley. Room was spotless - bed was made every day with clean towels too. Quiet and great location near highway 5. Free onsite parking and free breakfast. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

Unsafe. I stayed at the Old Town Inn for the third time. Great staff and the pool area is charming. Nice rooms although noisy as the walls are thin. The cranky breakfast room door handle us a challenge for all, especially if there were to be an emergency. I wouldn't walk anywhere from this Pacific Hwy motel. An agitated homless person was standing outside my ground floor room in the daytime with a saw. Another person was roaming the parking lot and lobby area at 5:00am. We love it! Rooms are very clean and bed so comfortable. Just what we need. The location is perfect as a hub, either going/coming from the airport and walking distance to the Amtrak Old Town station.Very affordable. Staff always attentive and nice, we were allowed to check in earlier. We have decided this will be our place to stay on everytime we visit San Diego. Definitely we recommend this nice little cozy hotel, its a hidden jewel 😉

I stayed here for a festival at petco park and it was perfect. About a 5-7 minute walk from the old town transit center so we saved a ton on ubers. We were allowed to do early-check in and late check-out without any additional fees. The front desk woman was very chill about it! Our key card wasn't working anymore when we came back at 1am and we were able to get a person to immediately give us new keys.
