We were on a weekend trip to the North Shore and ended up in Gloucester, MA. We asked around over lunch for a place to stay and the Ocean House had been recommended.. And it turned out to be a great choice. From the beginning we felt welcome by the super friendly staff, in particular Cheryl at the front desk, who walked with us to show us the property and suites upstairs. This is a very nice hotel across the street from a very scenic rocky coastline. They have a great heated pool and great views of the ocean. The place is impeccably maintained and has a great vibe. They have a very nice free breakfast that you enjoy in the oceanfront dining room. The only quibble is that the room did not have blackout shades so it stayed pretty light in the room at night. So bring an eye mask if that bothers you. Overall, highly recommended!
This hotel is PERFECT! It is VERY clean. Rooms are updated very tastefully and kept looking new. The view is amazing, the yard and pool look great for families and children. We will definitely return during the warmer months! Thank you for being lovely hosts Ocean House!
It was lovely! I was a bit skeptical due to other reviews, but I am so happy we stayed here. Nice rooms(beds are older, but very high end and protected...still very comfortable), breathtaking views and sweet staff! We will definitely be returning!
Spent a week here for our 30th. The rooms are impeccably clean and well-appointed. The beds are comfortable. The amenities are thoughtful (pool, firepit, bikes, hammocks, Adirondack chairs). The view… the view is gorgeous, as is the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks. Each veranda is equipped with comfortable sturdy outdoor chairs and a convenient table.
