We had a wonderful stay at Playa Largo Resort & Spa. The property is beautiful, the grounds are well maintained, and the atmosphere is relaxing from the moment you arrive. The staff throughout the resort was consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive. The highlight of our visit was our anniversary dinner at Sol by the Sea. Service is good! The place is a bit run down unfortunately. We got a water view suite and it looked very old and not maintained properly. Also the AC is just not strong enough. Staff is very sweet and competent but the bars and restaurants are not that clean. Had to ask multiple times the waiter/barman to clean our table every time we would sit somewhere. We came to Playa Largo to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was beautiful and spacious. The amenities were great too. Excellent beach and pool. The little events throughout the day were a nice touch as well. Who doesn’t love s'mores by the fire? We were on the first floor which meant we could walk out of patio straight to the beach. The trip was everything we wanted and we will absolutely be back.

I recently stayed at this property for a business trip, which made the nightly rate much more reasonable. While I’m not sure I would personally pay the full daily rate for a leisure stay, the hotel is exceptionally well-maintained. Being a Marriott property, the stay was very convenient. A quick heads-up for fellow Marriott Gold members: because of the high volume of elite members, don't necessarily expect an upgrade.
