✅ Positives: This place was a great value for the price! It’s a short walk to downtown Palm Springs, which was super convenient. The woman at the front desk who checked us in was incredibly polite and friendly. She walked us to our room and made sure we had everything we needed. It was nice that there were no kids, and it never felt crowded. I think we only saw two other couples during our stay, mostly hanging out by the pool. Great little boutique hotel. The pool area is very nice. It's a little on the quiet side which is just fine. No kids running around and playing in the pool (nothing wrong with that, just prefer a quiet weekend sometimes). Rooms are clean and updated. Some of the suites have rooftop private decks which are a really nice touch. My only minor complaint is the pillows. They are all just flat pillows with no support. Other than that, I recommend this place.
Real rating a 4.5 stars. Excellent service from Nate I think his name was. They gave amenities at the pool which is mostly a 5 star hotel kind of thing. There was a wine and cheese hour, complimentary breakfast. Room was clean with a big private balcony It was great. Only complaint was the bathroom door which was on a sliding rack that didn't close the door all the way and gave no privacy at all. But besides that would definitely go back!
As a small hotel this ia a fantastic option. Syper relaxing vibe. Quiet chill and private. If you want extra level of privacy, get an upstairs room with private balcony. Was really glad I chose to stay here.
The first weekend in May of 2025, my girlfriend, who lives in LA, and I - from AZ - got together for a Palm Springs adventure. We chose the Movie Colony Hotel because it's adults only (very quiet), centrally located for restaurants, and, most of all, dog friendly. Our stay was amazing.
