We really enjoyed our learning experience led by Scott in the reptile house/nature center. He shared so much knowledge on the creatures he keeps. Also the holiday lights and music were absolutely beautiful. We had dinner and drinks at Harvest and the Mai Chai was a yummy winter twist on a fave tropical beverage. I had the Mushroom Gnocci and it was excellent. Will definitely visit again!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner at Mountain Lake Lodge. The lodge staff and the team at Harvest were outstanding—warm, attentive, and truly committed to creating a great experience. Our group of four enjoyed fresh mixed green salads, delicious homemade soups, perfectly grilled red snapper over risotto, and expertly prepared 21‑day aged steaks with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The place is dated, but that's part of the charm. I'm not a big Dirty Dancing fan but the rest of my family is. The history of that with the scavenger hunt and informatioal walking tour was nice. But above all the staff was the most helpful and kind of just about anyplace we've ever stayed. Would like to go back during the summer when the pool was open, or during peak fall leaves, but even in mid November it was beautiful there.

We were there for a beautiful wedding. The views were amazing and we were there at the perfect time to enjoy the leaves. Their customer service was wonderful. I stopped by the front desk numerous times and they were able to quickly help me each time. Chelsea set up Mary's Barn for us and was absolutely fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed winding down by the fire pit every evening and got to visit with lots of different friends and family there.

Overall our visit was good. Our cabin The Dorland was comfortable and clean. We ate at Harvest and at the Tavern Bar. The food was decent. The staff were nice and very helpful. It’s sad that the Lake has dried up. It’s peaceful and you can definitely unplug due to no cell service. The only criticism we had was the management could do a better job of staffing the food establishments. We ate on site 3 times. Each time at no fault of the servers trying we had to wait extremely long to get very basic orders. They also w... read more
