This was my husband and my first time at Lonnie's Reno Club, as it was recommended by my brother, who took his girlfriend and daughter on separate occasions. Lonnie was fantastic! We enjoyed the band, the history, tap dancing, food, drinks—everything about it! Worth a visit if you haven't!

This was my first time here!! My boyfriend and I booked the showing on Valentines weekend. Lonnie’s was a fantastic experience. Wow! Lonnie and his band were amazing. The service from Joshua and Kenny made the experience really enjoyable and memorable, too. I cannot wait to take my friends and family here. Lonnie was really kind and interacted with everyone-very genuine and happy! You can tell that he truly enjoys and cares about those who come to watch his shows- and he loves Jazz with all his heart!

This is a great time, highly recommend. The food is very good, though slightly overpriced. Music is wonderful and Lonnie is a gifted entertainer, my wife really enjoyed the tap dancing. I thought he was a fabulous trumpet player but actually his singing was what really blew me away. The service was five full stars. Small suggestion- turn the background music up louder before the show and between sets to remove the awkward silence

A magical Kansas City experience. Elegant and spacious basement location. Photos welcome to your heart’s content on stage and with the band. Lonnie’s energy is through the roof and his band is full of top talent. Food is mouth-watering and deserts as well. Huge selection of wine. I went with IPA’s and the Black Manhattan. Not one person left without a smile. I arrived early and got free parking at a nearby meter.

My wife and I went to Lonnie’s Reno Club last night. I was so looking forward to the evening all week. The entire experience far exceeded what I was looking forward to! Lonnie McFadden is a KC Legend. I have told many friends in KC and beyond I rate him with many of our treasured institutions and teams. Several years back I had the pleasure of a short conversation with Buck O’Neil and I have listened to many of Buck’s stories. Buck was an Ambassador of Major League Baseball, The Negro League Museum and KC. Lonnie is equally ... read more
