LUMA was a perfect hotel for our weekend in NYC. We had 2 Broadway shows to see, and both were very close by. We only needed to take a cab one time our whole stay since everything we needed was so close. The staff were some of the friendliest we’ve ever experienced. Our room was very clean and the bathroom amenities smelled so good! The restaurant downstairs provided me with easily the best steak I’ve ever had, and again, very friendly service. We would absolutely stay here again!
We just got home from our mini vacation. We can not stop talking about how impressed we are with this hotel. The staff was always friendly, welcoming us home after the day of sightseeing. We were celebrating our sons 10th birthday and the girls at the front(sorry I didn’t get her name) sent up the robot to our room with balloons and sweet treats as well as a birthday card for our son. The rooms were always clean, the bed was so comfortable. We were on the 9th floor facing the city and surprisingly it was very quiet! The hot... read more
I stayed at the Luma Hotel for four nights in early January, and it was the perfect hotel for a New York City trip. The location is truly unbeatable, just steps from Times Square, Fifth Avenue, Bryant Park, and Rockefeller Center. Despite being so close to everything, the hotel is located on a side street that isn’t very busy, which made for a quiet and restful night’s sleep, something that can be hard to find in NYC. Check-in was quick and easy, and the price felt very fair for the location and quality of the hotel. The st... read more
The rooms were clean, mattresses were comfy, and the attendants were very friendly. They lost us at the breakfast. The food was cold, unseasoned and bland, and the bacon had a funky taste to it. I get that it's a hotel breakfast, but for $27 each there were so many surrounding spots where you could have gotten a coffee or sandwich for the same price or less. After paying for the "breakfast", we went around the corner and paid for another meal that was 100x more satisfying and one that we could keep down. I recommend this hot... read more
Every person in this hotel was extremely nice and attentive. The rooms are pretty standard for size but very well done. This hotel is not huge but it does have a nice small bar area with plenty of seating. There was a lot of construction going on but they did their best with that. It is located within walking distance to many locations. We enjoyed the stay there and would happily stay again.
