Our family had an amazing 8 night stay at the Luma! I don't know how you could pick a better hotel for a stay in NY. The location is perfect- within walking distance of shows; shopping, and many restaurants! And when you need to go further, many subway lines are within an easy walk. This hotel is fine. Service is exceptional. The location is excellent if you are going to see Broadway plays or want to shop. But the rooms are pretty small. The breakfast provide with room is below average. Street noise is below average so make sure you request a floor higher than 20. Next time I plan to try another hotel but not opposed to staying here again.
The staff is so friendly and the rooms clean and a great size. Perfect walking distance to shopping, theater, and Bryant Park. The lobby bar was a great place for apps and a drink after walking around all day. If you are wanting a hotel that is close to everything but not “IN” the thick of it, this is a great option.
