+/- Waited over an hour to get checked in and they did give me points for that. - Their key card system is old and malfunctions a lot. This classic hotel has been modernized, but still has many great decorative features inside. I was welcomed by staff with a glass of sparking wine and the personnel were great. The rooms were good sized and clean. The bedding was comfortable and the bathroom with walk in shower was good sized. I have only two complaints: 1) the room lighting was dim (one over-door light, small desk lamp, and bed lamps). Everything from the front desk staff to the bartenders and cooks at the rooftop bar was more than exceptional!!! We were spending a staycation for my 45th birthday at the hotel. The lady at the front desk made us feel very special with chocolates and champagne. We placed a breakfast order to be delivered to the room, and the server who brought it up was super nice as well. Hands down one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. From the moment I arrived at Hotel Paso Del Norte, I was treated like a VIP. Every single staff member I interacted with was professional, welcoming, and genuinely went out of their way to make the stay great. The hotel itself is impressive all the way through. Bonvoy Titanium here. This is one of my favorite Marriott properties, and I've stayed in a few. If you are ever in El Paso, you would be crazy not to stay at Hotel Paso Del Norte, it's a phenomenal place. Great friendly service starts right at the front desk. Such an easy thing to get right, but so many places don't! Good job y'all.
