⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A spotless mission-style boutique hotel designed as a terraced, secret-garden labyrinth. I first stayed at Hotel Pacific many years ago and returned during the holidays after also staying at another local hotel over Thanksgiving. I’m happy to say Hotel Pacific still has something increasingly rare: a genuine sense of place and soul. Hotel Pacific is absolutely adorable. From the moment we arrived, the experience was warm and welcoming. Jovanna at the front desk was truly wonderful — she helped us get settled after a long drive, was incredibly kind, and even surprised us with an upgrade, which we really appreciated. That level of service makes a difference. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely view. We so enjoyed this mission-style "feel" hotel! Loved the large suite-style rooms with couch (sofa bed) and gas fireplace. Nice little fridge and microwave. expansive bathroom with separate bath/shower and shower/toilet area. We had a our small dog & appreciated the furnished patio with planted area that she could "do her duty in" without having to go outside the hotel. We stayed here for a weekend getaway in Monterey and were completely blown away. The hotel felt like something straight out of coastal Europe. Charming, romantic, and beautifully designed. Our spacious room was incredible, especially the balcony and cozy fireplace that made the whole stay feel extra special. One thing that absolutely captivated us was the hotel’s vintage charm. We stayed at Hotel Pacific in Monterey and had a great time. The junior suite with the fireplace was exactly what we wanted. Plenty of space, comfortable, and the fireplace made it feel like a real getaway. The continental breakfast was solid and made mornings easy. The location is the real winner here. You can walk to everything. If you happen to be there on a Tuesday, check out the street food market one block away. It was a surprise highlight for us.
