We enjoyed our stay in a lovely room with private balcony overlooking a large courtyard with a fountain. We love the Spanish colonial architecture, comfortable beds where we slept great and plenty of hot water with nice smelling soap and shower products. Room included a little kitchen, glass stemware and a bottle opener. Nice quality furniture in the room and on the deck too

We so enjoyed this mission-style "feel" hotel! Loved the large suite-style rooms with couch (sofa bed) and gas fireplace. Nice little fridge and microwave. expansive bathroom with separate bath/shower and shower/toilet area. We had a our small dog & appreciated the furnished patio with planted area that she could "do her duty in" without having to go outside the hotel. I was lucky and got the last room here on busy Memorial Day weekend :) I really enjoyed my stay here. Staff was very friendly and responsive to my concerns, particularly Ana and Aman! The room was very cozy and felt like home. Mine was just above a quiet street and sitting with a book by a roaring fireplace and on a balcony was exactly what I needed to recharge. The location was perfect for me, close to the marina and beach and only 4 minutes to Cannery Row by car. Old Monterey has some neat cafés and shops all around too.... read more

We stayed here for a weekend getaway in Monterey and were completely blown away. The hotel felt like something straight out of coastal Europe. Charming, romantic, and beautifully designed. Our spacious room was incredible, especially the balcony and cozy fireplace that made the whole stay feel extra special. One thing that absolutely captivated us was the hotel’s vintage charm. Really large rooms - separate shower and bath, actually has a living room, dining area with microwave. Outdoor patio with street view. My thought is this could be a great base for several days - very comfortable. Service good, pleasant and quick check in. Location outstanding for downtown Monterey - and this area has tons of fun stuff. Also walkable to warf and cannery row.
