Hotel Nikko is conveniently situated in one of the most desirable locations in San Francisco. The rooms are relatively compact, even the king room we occupied was somewhat cramped. This is likely the standard practice in other hotels within the city, unless guests are prepared to pay a significantly higher premium. The front desk staff was attentive and accommodating, promptly fulfilling our requests. Housekeeping was prompt and provided us with clean towels upon our request. While a refrigerator was not provided by defau... read more

We were about to report a truly wonderful experience at this hotel until we dealt with room service. For being a four star hotel, you have to do these things with trust and respect to your customers, so I’ll write the situation. It seems trivial, but it was not acceptable for the caliber of a hotel. We called into Room service, unknowing of any fees whatsoever, and asked simply for two breakfast items: oatmeal. I hadn’t even seen the menu, I just wondered if they had oatmeal. I stayed at Hotel Nikko San Francisco for a work offsite and had a good experience overall. The staff were excellent, extremely polite, professional, and helpful. The conference rooms and on-site meeting support were outstanding, making it a strong option for corporate meetings and offsites. Beds and pillows struck a comfortable balance between plush and firm. The room and bathroom were spacious, very clean, and the Wi-Fi was strong and reliable for work. Robe and slippers provided. Room service was also quite good. A few ... read more

We stayed at the Nikko Hotel during our Christmas vacation, and overall, it was a disappointing experience. The main reason we chose this hotel was because it is advertised as pet-friendly. However, aside from the pet terrace, we did not find any real benefits of this designation. We were not provided with basic pet amenities, such as a water bowl, which other pet-friendly hotels typically offer. Additionally, none of the hotel’s restaurants allow pets, which significantly limits the convenience of traveling with one. The p... read more

Rooms felt somewhat dated and casino-like. There was a constant rattling noise. It sounded like it was loose light fixture or AC. Everything is extra. I haven’t been to a hotel in so long that has a “you touch-it you buy-it” mini bar, $10 bottled water, and a stuffed dog you can cuddle with for an extra $35! The bathroom was nice and large with a shower and tub. However, it was practically impossible to close the glass shower door without it slamming. It felt as though guests are really paying for the plush lobby and fancy... read more
