This was such a lovely hotel! We were in town for a funeral at Arlington, and many in our family chose to stay here. We hope to visit DC again and would happily stay here. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The slat door in addition to the regular door gives the hotel a unique charm and worked well for us as we were in and out of one another's rooms. The room is spacious, has everything, from refrigerator, mini kitchen to even eight pillows (haha). The location is good (generally speaking. I stayed in this hotel because it gets an interesting history, looks nice, and is so close to the medical facility of interest).
Our family staple for decades. Quaint and comfortable. Great location: blocks from the White House, GWU; Smithsonian and Georgetown a little further. Personally, I love staying here and setting friends and relatives up here, too. Enjoy!!
My husband and I stayed for our anniversary. The front desk asked why we were there, they gave us a free room upgrade to the king suite for our anniversary! The staff were attentive and helpful. They kept checking on us throughout the week, giving us free water bottles. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom a good size. Overall we had an amazing stay. I would definitely stay again and recommend staying here. The location is great too. Close to shopping and downtown.
Very comfortable, spacious room in a great location at the end of our 334 mile bike ride from Pittsburgh. Staff helped us store our bikes and move our luggage around, and were very friendly and helpful. Loved the historic character of this beautiful hotel. And the margaritas!
