We stayed at the Holiday Inn Plainview–Long Island for business travel and had an excellent experience, largely thanks to the outstanding service at the front desk. Stayed here during a snowstorm due to the location. I gave it 5 stars simply for the wonderful staff they have working here. Yes, the hotel could use some room renovations, but for the purpose of a quick two-day stay, it was perfect. As other reviews have mentioned, there are no windows to the outside in any of the rooms, the walls are thin and I heard people walking in the hall (though I didn’t hear my neighbors), the plumbing and heat were a little loud when they came on, and the beds are very soft, old, and noisy when you... read more

It smelled so bad like Marijuana. The heating/ air conditioner unit in our room made a big bang when it would turn on and off. You'd be in a dead sleep and it would just bang scare the crap out of you. The elevator did not work in the facility. But the staff made up for it. They carried all of our luggage up. The room was not very clean.

My message to IHG customer service about my stay at Holiday Inn Plainview Long Island on 01/23/2026. Good afternoon, I am having a pretty big problem with one of your hotels that I stayed in on Friday evening. Around 11:30pm my 10yr old son woke me up complaining about a very foul smell and the he was not feeling well at all. The hotel room and hallway was full with a very potent marijuana odor. They have "quiet time" from 9pm-6am, which is good. Two things that need work: 1. Beds! Specifically the bed frame. I just wanted to sleep and the beds were noisy anytime I made a slight move. 2. Plumbing. Also excessively noisy. We knew when ANYONE in our room's vicinity flushed a toilet or ran the shower. Seems as if the walls have poor insulation or something. Other than that, location is very clean and in a very good location right off the highway.
