Pro: I come to Salinas about every month and a half for work, and this is the first time I’ve been able to stay at this hotel since it’s usually fully booked. I’m glad I finally got a room because it’s a great hotel. The rooms are nice and the bed is incredibly comfy—truly, the bed is comfy! They have a short bus that comes here every morning. The bus sits outside from 3:00am-6:00am. The bus revs its engine or its air conditioner turns on every 30 seconds and it’s super loud. The front desk person said they would make a note and move my room. The other side of the hotel is the freeway side. I specifically booked this side so it would be quieter. Pros: Welcoming front! Clean and modern! Check-in process was quick and the receptionist was very helpful and polite! Breakfast area was clean and tidy! Good breakfast buffet aligned with Holiday Inn Express standard! Cons: The only complaint is the deceptive amenities advertised about the indoor swimming pool and pictures on all booking websites. This hotel is really new. The rooms are spacious and clean with good connectivity for charging devices. We found the beds very comfortable, even the pull out sofa. The check-in staff are very professional and were the first during our USA vacation to explain how the rooms was setup for our family of 5. Very convenient was the breakfast which was included. From here we could reach Monterey and Big Sur and without paying the prices for those locations.

We stayed in a suite, and it truly felt like home. The breakfast was delicious, and the in-room coffee machine was a great touch. The staff was friendly and always helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
