Pros: Location. Walking distance from lovely restaurants. Nice water view. An older Black lady hostess kindly assisted me upon arrival. Cons: - There was a razor blade on the floor in my room that I stumbled upon. Thankfully I had on shoes. Not sure how you miss a shiny razor blade on the floor. - My room was on the 10th floor situated literally next to a rooftop bar. I could look out my window and see patrons. I recently attended a party hosted at the Hilton in Norfolk, VA, and it was absolutely outstanding. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make the entire event unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was vibrant, welcoming, and perfectly organized. The event space was fantastic—especially the Great Room. We have stayed at the Hilton in Norfolk half a dozen times and it's always a pleasant endeavor. I don't know where they get their front desk people from, but they are friendly and helpful whether it's 4 pm or 4 am. The rooms are simple but feel luxurious with fluffy clean bedding, nice pillows and great views. We did get a room a few floors above the rooftop bar, which was fun for people watching, but a little noisy during the later parts of the evening. Was here for a work conference early September and the hotel is great. Really neat feature to use your smartphone as your room key. Meals were great and service seemed on par as well. The Grain was a pretty good place to unwind with a few drinks as well. Had one of my favorites on tap: Zombie Dust IPA! They also carry a ton of other brews on draft.

We just finished a 3 day conference at the Hilton Norfolk The Main. The conference was excellent and beyond. The support from the hotel (conference rooms, food, etc) was also excellent. The food quality, quantity, presentation was excellent and it looked like everyone could find lots of different options to enjoy. The support people around the food service areas were polite and very efficient. My room was very comfortable, the bathroom was quite large and everything you could possibly need in a hotel room was provided. The... read more
