I went to "The Grain" which is the restaurant on the top of the building. We went there for their Brunch Buffet Saturday. IT WAS AWESOME!!. The ambiance was great and they had a DJ playing there the whole time. Each food section is different. When you walk through the door to you're left is the breakfast buffet. This hotel is very nice. It's one of the best that I've been in. With its highly detailed lobby and three on-site restaurants. Including the nice short walk to nearby restaurants and water views. It's hard to pass up on this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The room service, if you so choose, has an amazing staff. The food was enjoyable at all three restaurants. If you're staying in the area, I would highly recommend staying here.

My wife and I stayed here recently to attend a funeral in Portsmouth. Though we were only here for a brief time we enjoyed our room and the service. I suggest getting a room that overlooks the riverfront. There are multiple restaurants for you to try in the hotel if you don’t want to go far for food. The receptionists were more than courteous and extremely welcoming. If we ever come back to Norfolk we will definitely come back again.

We stay at the Main everytime we visit Virginia but this time was different. Everything was going great (the room, brunch, great staff, etc.) until last night. We went to the pool to do water aerobics for my knee and the visit was cut short because the pool area was infested with roaches. We saw at least four and I was able to record 2. We left the pool and was on the way to let the front desk know and that's when I slipped on urine in the elevator. I told the Manager on duty (Richard Castano) and he was very dismissive. The Hilton delivered as usual. The hotel is very nice with a few top rated restaurants on the premise. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were fantastic, professional and friendly. I love staying at Hilton sites and this one doesn't disappoint.
