We are local and recently had to stay here for 5 nights because our hvac broke. The staff are simply exceptional. I feel like good customer service is hard to come by these days - but every single one of these folks, reception, maintenance, valet, housekeeping - was so friendly and kind. Amber, the manager at the front desk, not only belittled me but also mishandled the entire interaction with her staff. I drove four hours and spent 80,000 Choice Hotel points to stay here, only to be given a room that was in unacceptable condition. Two team members quietly mentioned that the hotel has “old rooms” and “new rooms,” and it was obvious I was placed in one of the old ones. Clean, comfortable and historic! Location is perfect and the jet tub was to die for. Only drawback was no smart TV. Bring your own device and or adapters otherwise you will be flipping through local channels regularly.

Completely not what was expected based on photos, based on the calls to the front desk for reservations. Extremely disappointed with this hotel from the point of driving up to going to the front desk checking in. Staff could not delivery any solutions to the issues. Realizing and expecting a premiere boutique hotel - there was no facilities for our dog to go potty no designated areas. There were a lot of homeless people walking about. It was not safe. Friendly staff. Awesome location. However, if one of the things you like to do in a hotel room is sleep, this is not the place for you. OK, this room was nearly $200 per night - not cheap, but what is anymore? The toilet runs every 20 minutes. Yes, that's annoying but I can handle that I guess. The shower reeks of mildew. Don't love that. I thought the most disappointing aspect, however, was that the view from my window is of a long back alley and the brick exterior of another building about 8 feet away.
