Just had the most incredible experience at this hotel! I had no idea this place existed! The Gothic, Vintage, Victorian Tavern aesthetic is seriously cool. We booked last minute for my birthday weekend and were excited to explore the town and Ojai. Unfortunately, they were full due to events, so we couldn't get one of their better rooms the first day but Monica, the sweetest staff member, upgraded us to the penthouse room 308 the next day. Traveled to the town of Santa Paula because we was told of this amazing restaurant. Was greeted at the reception with so much warmth and kindness. Went to the hotels restaurant. Went as a party of 12 and ordered from the Italian menu. We all had different dishes and the food was incredibly tasty. The portion size was great and service was quick. This place RULES, been a huge fan since I first visited in 2020. It's rare to be able to stay in such a comfortable place that happens to be a beautiful historical landmark. Management has done a tremendous job of fusing its charm and spirit with cozy accommodations for guests. Enzo's, its restaurant, is great too. The filet, pear salad, pizza, everything I've had there is fantastic. I'm excited to get back out there and would say it's a must-visit for Southern California, so great.

We are home! Thank you so much for your hospitality! It was so fun to visit Santa Paula and the hotel/tavern. 5:00PM is pretty fun around there! We cannot wait to return. The rooms are clean, the staff is super friendly, and we loved the coffee and snacks in the AM. Also, the building feels very safe.

Nice place, cool decor, HUGE jetted tub, great shower water pressure. But, the bathroom was a step up (be careful not to trip!) & the mattress needed/had a bumpy topper on it that made the sheets pull off & felt like you were about to roll off. Also the blanket needs to be a few inches longer - my toes are still cold. We'll return when the opportunity arises, bringing in items to make it perfect.
