We had the BEST experience at Glass Light. The hotel itself is amazing, the staff is so friendly and welcoming, the rooms are awesome (and the view was amazing!). Beyond that - the restaurant downstairs should have a Michellin star it's so good. They poached a pineapple. They made the best short ribs ever. We sat at the chef's table and got to watch the process and that was SO cool, too. Their breakfast menu was also incredible. My wife and I enjoyed a most delightful 2.5 hour dining experience and exquisite dinner at Glass Light Hotel Norfolk. We were treated far beyond expectations compliments of the Chef’s Counter option and masterfully created and presented by Executive Chef Tichafa Chingombe and his stellar team. I stayed at the Glass Light Hotel & Gallery in Norfolk and absolutely loved it. The hotel has such a unique vibe, modern, artsy, and beautifully designed. It is a little on the smaller side, but that actually made it feel super cozy and intimate. Everywhere you turn, the aesthetic is stunning, from the lobby to the rooms. Hotel has an extraordinary glass art collection which gives it an elegant feel. Rooms are bright and cheerful when everything working. Really standout bathrooms. Only issue was unfortunately recurring. We had operating problems with our blinds which required maintenance twice. They are electronic and WiFi enabled and lose signal so they come inoperable. Had a one-night stay at the Glass Light Hotel and Gallery. This is an Autograph Collection Hotel. We have stayed at other hotels in this collection, and this one was not at the top of that list. It's not that it's a bad hotel, but given the expense of staying there ($400+) per night, we expected a little more. Our room was attractive and quiet, though a little cramped compared to other Autograph Hotels we have stayed in.
