My family and I just came home from Hawaii and what a time we had! Embassy Suites surpassed all my expectations starting with the feeling of "aloha" from the moment we checked in .. big thanks to Lorena for helping us and taking the time to explain everything and answer all of our questions =) The location of this hotel is wonderful because it is central to the main street in Waikiki. There are a lot of hotel options in Waikiki, and in my opinion there are definitely better choices than this one. Starting with the positives, the location is decent. It’s not directly on the main strip, but on a slightly off-centered road. It’s still within walking distance to the beach, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby that are easy to reach on foot. Now for the negatives. The hotel is very dated. Let me offer you a MASSIVE TIP. If you’re considering staying here, make sure you call the hotel directly and ask them if all the elevators are working in the tower you’ll be staying at. We had one elevator down and man did it suck. It was broken the entire time we stayed here and I literally loathed having to use it because it took so long to get to our floor. The hotel is overall nice. Check in was breeze. They also provided tote bag on check in. Room was nice and big, had sperate common room and bed room with TV on each room. Bathroom was nice. Parking is valet paid. Also we were provided 4th floor room which was very easy to access pool and breakfast area which also lies on same floor. We had an amazing stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Waikiki! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. One of our favorite perks was the complimentary happy hour from 5–7 PM. While the drink selection is limited to a couple of options, it’s still a great touch and a nice way to unwind before heading out for the evening.
