Worst experience I’ve ever had at a paid show. Four employees stood behind us fighting for ten minutes about who was gonna go do the job. Of walking down the steps and tell somebody to stop recording. Instead they fought out loud in front of guests, blocking other guests view and making it hard to hear over them. It wasn’t a whisper. We experienced a 4 day convention here. The bathrooms are clean, the staff is wonderful, and the hotel is just great to host an event. They have multiple breakout rooms that are perfect for small sessions or to host multiple sessions. Podiums available and large screens for showing things to the crowd.

Excellent Venue for various events. Clean, generally well laid out but escalators not functioning during part of my visit and only one elevator inconveniently located and hard to find.

We held an event here in January of 2024. In all our years of traveling to conventions and then holding our own events, we have never dealt with a worse facility. The facility was not kept secure, with multiple entry points that were not locked or able to be locked leading to the theft of items from multiple vendors. When the police were called to the scene the security cameras were found to be "broken". Great convention center in terms of size, cleanliness and a variety of room options for large or small gatherings of people. Tech is modern, with large screens, projectors etc. for presenters. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is location. The center is in a located away from the central dining district in Macon so you cannot walk to food and shopping. Be prepared to drive yourself, or Uber. Our conference was smart and hired the trolley for three hours each night to take people into town and back ... read more
